What is Maker Faire?

Maker Faire is a festival full of workshops, interactive activities and above all enthusiastic and curious people. Almost everything can be experienced first-hand and much can be made. Makers present their projects and prototypes.

The festival brings together enthusiasts and experts, but also promises smart entertainment for the whole family – combining modern technology, traditional crafts, science and design.

Second year in Olomouc

The second year of the Maker Faire in Olomouc will take place in the perfectly fitting space of the Laudon Hall in the Fort Science and in the beautiful lobby of the Faculty of Science of Palacký University – these two buildings are 7 minutes walk from each other. The programme will take place mostly indoors.

In the fall of 2022, there is going to be another weekend show of 35 makers and their projects. You will again be able to participate in numerous workshops and installations.

⏰ November 12 from 10 am to 6 pm at the Fort Science + Faculty of Science

At the second edition of the Olomouc Maker Faire you can expect projects from local makers and those from all over the country! What would you say to a robotics workshop or building water rockets?

In our uncertain future, there is one thing that is certain: technology will be a big part of our lives. Therefore it is important that schools and teachers give students a chance to gain the necessary knowledge.
