Maker Faire je festival plný workshopů, interaktivních aktivit a především nadšených a zvídavých lidí.

Na Maker Faire si můžete téměř vše vyzkoušet, mnohé si vyrobit nebo se zapojit do řady workshopů. Své projekty na festivalech prezentují tzv. makeři neboli tvůrci a vynálezci.
Maker [mejkr] je každý, kdo má tvořivého ducha.
Člověk, který se nespokojí s dostupnými věcmi, technologiemi či službami, ale sám přichází s inovacemi. Vlastní tvůrčí nadšení si nenechává pro sebe, ale své výtvory sdílí s ostatními.
Maker hnutí se nedefinuje konkrétními činnostmi – přispívá k inovacím, podnikavosti a skrze otevřené dílny vytváří přístup k výrobním technologiím.

Maker Faire is coming to Pardubice for the first time!
This year we will present Maker Faire for the first time in Pardubice! We will visit the great premises of the Automatic Mills. Visitors will be able to discover a range of projects not only from local makers and participate in numerous workshops and installations.
It is a festival full of workshops, interactive activities and above all enthusiastic and enquiring people. The world-class creativity showcase brings together garage makers and professionals, and provides smart entertainment for families with children. Maker Faire brings together modern technology, science, design and traditional crafts.

In Zlín you will meet local makers as well as makers from all over the country! What would you say to a robotics workshop or building water rockets?
The second year of the Maker Faire festival in Vrchlabí will take place on Saturday 15th June in the perfectly fitting space of the Ekocentrum Krtek. Around 20 makers will share their innovative projects with you!

We organized the Maker Faire in Pilsen to get locals excited about exploring and discovering. This year, however, we will not be doing Maker Faire here anymore, we have decided to move it to other cities where we think that there is not yet built up such a large offer of similar activities as the residents of Pilsen have.

Maker Faire came to Plzeň for the fourth time, and again it took place in the perfectly designed space of DEPO2015. We connect enthusiastic makers, inventors, innovators, tinkerers and DIY fans. You could discover around 50 projects by local makers and participate in numerous workshops and installations. The programme was set to take place mainly indoors and partly outdoors.

Maker Faire is a festival for professionals and the general public. Families with children will enjoy the event, as well as scientists, DIYers and students. We are preparing a creative and professional programme for you. The vast majority of projects are interactive.

Lots of creative, educational and interactive fun. For example, the 3D Printing Workshop in collaboration with Prusa Research, where you will learn the basics of this technology, 3D modelling and take away your own print. You can book your place HERE.
📍 Where is the Maker Faire?
Maker Faire Karlovy Vary takes place in the industrial premises of Trojahlí Karolina.
⏰ Approximately how much time will I spend at Maker Faire?
You can book a whole day for Maker Faire. The venue is quite large and there are a lot of makers on the schedule. You’ll get involved in workshops, try out different installations, and there’s always something to come back to.
☕️ Is there refreshments on site?
In addition to a varied day-long programme, we also have refreshments in mind. Tasting cupping will be taken care of by Coffee Culture Roastery, which will also share with guests its own journey into the world with select coffee, 3D printing, electromobility and an unconventional approach. Food will be provided by V3S burger and Havana Food Truck and the sweet spot will be provided by MistrVonka Bakery. Beer will be offered by Hoppydog Brewery and wine by Znojmo winemaker Petr Mühlberger.

Please leave your pets at home. Neither you nor they would enjoy the festival.

Maker Faire in České Budějovice will present projects from local makers and makers from all over the country! What would you say to a robotics workshop or building water rockets?
The biggest Maker Faire in Moravia will take place in Brno for the fifth time. Again this year we will visit the beautiful functionalist premises of the Brno Exhibition Centre in representative Hall A1. You could meet around 400 makers and their great projects, participate in numerous workshops and installations.
Maker Faire in Brno will present over the 100 projects and makers from all over the world! What would you say to a robotics workshop or building water rockets?
Maker Faire Prague festival attracted last year nearly 10 000 people
More than 130 makers gathered in 2023 in the Křižík Pavilions at the Prague Exhibition Centre and nearly 10,000 enthusiastic visitors arrived. “I am very happy about this year’s edition. We managed to put together a varied programme once again, quite a few new makers arrived and the natural compactness of the venue and the community dimension of the event worked beautifully. I am also pleased that the Prague Maker Faire is becoming more and more a part of the social consciousness. This year, we were very pleased to see the presence of the American founders of Maker Faire, colleagues from European festivals or, for example, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands or the Ambassador of Great Britain, who visited Maker Faire in Prague for the first time,” comments Vojtěch Kolařík, the main organizer of the event.

How do I get to Maker Faire Prague?
The main entrance to the festival will be around the Plantarium. You can find the box office, entrance and ticket resale on the map HERE. The Industrial Palace is being remodelled, so don’t be alarmed, walk past and you’ll find us behind it. If you are travelling by public transport, get off at the Exhibition Centre stop HERE. Trams 6, 8, 12, 17, 20 stop at this stop. Or take the metro to station C – Nádraží Holešovice.

We recommend arriving at the festival without a car. If you arrive by car, you can use the paid parking HERE or the paid zones in the surrounding area.
